Founded in 2012, "Tūmeņi" agricultural farm now cares for up to 500 hives each summer, spread across 17 sites in surrounding bogs, forests, and meadows. From organic buckwheat fields, old linden trees, and wild heather, our bees create distinctive varietal honeys—made in a pure environment where bees thrive.

Batch M202508-001 was produced and packed by the agricultural farm “Tūmeņi”.

  • We run beekeeping seminars for young people and experienced beekeepers at "Tūmeņi" Farm

  • At "Tūmeņi" Farm, we embrace sustainable living and live in harmony with nature.

  • Nectar is gathered from multiple habitats: organic buckwheat fields, linden, bogs, and flowering meadows.

  • Located in Latgale, one of Latvia’s historic regions, famed for its unique culture, language, and landscapes.

At Tūmeņi Farm, our bees are cared for by certified beekeeper Aija Lielpētere. Her love for bees was born here — she says she has a special “chemistry” with them, sometimes even talking or singing by the hives. For Aija, the apiary is both work and peace, and the harmony of a bee colony remains a daily wonder.

At Tūmeņi Farm, we also welcome fellow beekeepers, young farmers, and school groups for experience sharing and educational visits during local events and LBB’s “Honey Day in the Apiary”. Everyone is warmly invited to stop by, taste, and purchase our products. We take part in LBB’s “European Honey Breakfast” and the “Tastiest Latvian Honey” competition—our hogweed honey received top awards in 2022, our buckwheat honey was named “Beekeepers’ Favourite Honey 2024”, and this season we even harvested a unique valerian honey as local forage continues to change.
